Meet Dr. Kohl

Dr. Kohl’s interest in orthodontics came at a young age, as his father was an orthodontist. He saw the enthusiasm that his dad had for his profession and the goodwill and happiness that he brought to his patients. Dr. Kohl has continued that tradition of goodwill, while expanding the range of services he offers in order to fit his patients’ needs.

Dr. Kohl finds true satisfaction in seeing his patients become more self-assured and confident about themselves as they see their smiles improve. He is proud and honored that his patients and their families entrust him with their care and he takes this responsibility very seriously. He is committed to ensuring that he provides the best care possible, in the most pleasing environment.

Education

Dr. Kohl has been practicing since 1992. He attended the University of Notre Dame where he received his undergraduate degree. He then attended dental school at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he was inducted into the Omega Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.  He subsequently received his Master’s degree in Orthodontics at the State University of New York at Buffalo. To stay current with the latest techniques and advances in orthodontics, Dr. Kohl and his staff attend many continuing education courses throughout the year.

Outside the Office

Raised in Chautauqua County, Dr. Kohl moved back to the area in 1992 after completing his orthodontic education. He currently lives in Bemus Point, New York. He is happily married and has two daughters. When he is not working, Dr. Kohl enjoys spending time with his family, boating on Chautauqua Lake, and taking advantage of the outdoors.

For Dr. Kohl, it has always been important to stay active in his community, supporting the people and activities that make the area beautiful and a fun place to live. He and his wife are involved with various local civic organizations and groups that benefit the Chautauqua County area. Dr. Kohl has also traveled to Vietnam with Health Volunteers Overseas, where he instructed orthodontists in the dental school in Ho Chi Minh City.
